Understand verification outcomes
What completed positive, completed negative and unable to verify mean.
There are three possible outcomes as a result of Primary Source Verification.
Completed - Positive
This outcome means that Ecctis is satisfied that the qualification provided is genuine, beyond all reasonable doubt. It also means the information received has been sent through an official route used by the awarding organisation.
Completed - Negative
This outcome means that Ecctis is satisfied that the qualification provided includes an element of fraudulent activity. Where this is confirmed, Ecctis will provide clear confirmation of fraudulent activity.
Unable to Verify
This outcome means that, despite a number of efforts, Ecctis has exhausted all options to verify the qualification without receiving an official response from the awarding organisation.
An Unable to Verify outcome would not be provided within the first 30 working days after submission.
